In her latest blog post, Stacy explains that Women are now at a higher risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes than ever before. In fact, she goes as far as to admit that she is astonished by the number of her clients who already have it.
Stacy explains that the two biggest causes of Type 2 Diabetes are a sedentary lifestyle and poor diet choices.
She reveals that she has a friend who has always battled with her weight and recently asked Stacy for some advice.
Her friend admitted that she is 40lbs overweight and often has trouble sticking to her workout schedule. Consisting of 30 minutes of weight training followed by 30 minutes of cardio ? Stacy believes that she would better benefit from high intensity interval training. This is also known as H.I.I.T.
?Though there are a few different methods of H.I.I.T., the basic premise is that intervals of high intensity training are coupled with intervals of low intensity exercise or rest periods? Stacy says, continuing to explain that this has been proven as one of the best ways to burn calories, increase lean muscle mass and raise metabolism.
She makes it clear that H.I.I.T can also greatly reduce the amount of total body fat, trunk fat and leg fat.
In her friend?s case, High Intensity Interval Training was a roaring success.
?This was 6 weeks ago and I?m happy to report that my friend has lost a significant amount of weight and body fat. She just went to the doctor and her insulin levels are close to normal once again? Stacy says.
