Santa Monica, California-based yogitoes, home of the patented Skidless yoga towel grip technology, has launched the new Peacock rSkidless Yoga Towel. It?s the latest in a series of creative, inventive and sustainable products that have come from need and inspiration to help yoga practitioners of all levels and styles grow their practice.
Each yogitoes Peacock rSkidless Yoga Towel is made from 50% recycled content that is derived from eight recycled plastic bottles. It joins the other products in the company?s rYoga Collection of yoga mats and accessories, which include the rNaked Yoga Mat (undyed and made from 25% recycled rubber and 75% virgin rubber) and the rStrapStretch (an elastic yoga strap made from two recycled plastic bottles). The entire rYoga Collection is made from recycled materials that would otherwise occupy landfills or pollute oceans.
The Peacock rSkidless Yoga Towel represents the next generation of the company?s famous Skidless Towel: a patented, super-absorbent microfiber towel with nubs that grip, created by Founder and CEO Susan Nichols in 2003 after she slipped during her Ashtanga practice.
In addition to the new Peacock rSkidless Towel and complete rYoga Collection, yogitoes is also converting its entire yoga line in 2012 to recycled materials. Already, all dyes in yogitoes products are heavy metal and azo free, which is much better for the health of factory workers, consumers and the environment. Packaging is minimal and is made from recycled or FSC certified paper.
