Obama’s administration law on healthcare reform is having a key part of the bill being ruled against by Henry Hudson a federal judge in the US state of Virginia. His argument against the bill was that it is unconstitutional to force Americans to purchase healthcare or face a fine, he declined to invalidate the entire law.
A 42 page decision written by the judge concluded that the disputed provision was neither within the letter nor the spirit of the Constitution .Virginia Attorney General, Kenneth Cuccinelli, who filed the lawsuit, welcomed the decision. As of now the healthcare reform is divided according to the US public opinion and other lawsuits are pending but the deciding action on which way the bill will go is up to the US Supreme Court.
During his first two years in office the law on healthcare reform is seen by some as one of Mr. Obama’s biggest achievements with the bill intent on extending everyone to have health care. A Justice Department spokeswoman said,” There is a clear and well established precedent that congress acted within its constitutional authority in passing this law and we are confident that we will ultimately prevail.
