Small Hands Big Art, a South Charlotte children’s art studio and Criss Cross Mangosauce, a local company offering  bilingual (English/Spanish) programs for children throughout the state, invite children in the Charlotte area to join their new “Spanish+Art” classes, starting on Saturday, November 6th , from 9:00 10:30 am at the Small Hands Big Art studio located at 8025 Ardrey Kell Rd., at The Fountains shopping center in Charlotte.

In this weekly 90 minute combination Spanish + Art Class, Criss Cross Mangosauce will teach 45 minutes of Spanish language and culture through music, storytelling and creative drama, followed by 45 minutes of multi-media art projects facilitated by Small Hands Big Art (painting, drawing collage, sculpture, and more).   Children will build more than language skills; they’ll also develop motor, verbal and social skills.  And to top it off, they’ll create some fabulous artwork.

Last summer, Criss Cross Mangosauce and Small Hands Big Art teamed up to offer a special multicultural week of summer camp. The positive reception of this concept from children and families around the area was the foundation of this new “Spanish+Art” program.

Classes will start on Saturday, November 6th, 2010. Class is open for children ages 4-8, and the cost is $170, per a six week program (10% sibling discount).
