– New York, New York and San Francisco, California,  October 22, 2010 – The Open to Hope Foundation proposal was accepted on behalf of the National Funeral Directors Conference which was held October 10th 13th, 2010 at New Orleans Louisiana Convention Center.  Dr. Gloria and Dr. Heidi presented on Finding Hope Again After Loss on Tuesday, October 12th 2010.

The National Funeral Directors Association is the worldwide source of expertise and professional resources for all facets of funeral service. Through education, information and advocacy, NFDA is dedicated to supporting members in their mission to provide families with meaningful end-of-life services at the highest levels of excellence and integrity.

We are excited to announce that we were selected to participate in NFDA’s annual conference.  This is a wonderful opportunity to bring valuable information and research on finding hope after loss to the professional community who in turn can bring it to the grieving public commented Dr. Gloria Horsley.  This workshop will provide participants with inspiring stories, coping skills, and tools which address various ways to heal after loss.   We don’t want to just survive a loss, we want to eventually go onto thrive and live a life once again filled with joy, while at the same time continuing bonds with those who have died.  Experts will address these topics and more, says Dr. Heidi Horsley Co-Host of “The Open To Hope Show” and Co-Founder and Executive Director of The (http://www.opentohope.com/)Open to Hope Foundation www.opentohope.com.
