A recently opened Ohio pub decked out in a political theme is quickly becoming the talk of the town. In addition to a meal, you’ll also get a lesson in American history.

Patrons will quickly realize it’s not a coincidence that the Grand Ole Pub’s initials are GOP. Alongside your sandwich and chips, a copy of the Constitution.

“Believe it or not, the constitution fits in your shirt pocket. Health care bill, I need a dolly,” Bill Langdon of the Grand Ole Pub said.

Customers said the pub is very historical and educational. The pub’s walls are adorned with quotes from Thomas Jefferson, photos of all past presidents, and other iconic images of American history. One wall is dedicated to 9/12.

“9/12, because on 9/12 is when America kind of came together,” Langdon said. “We weren’t conservatives and liberal or Republicans and Democrats. We were just Americans.”

A heroes’ wall honors our military, police, and firefighters, as does the pub’s menu, which by the way, comes with a customer bill of rights and features a “hero’s sandwich.”

“The recipes were given to us by Westchester firefighters, so each month we will feature a sandwich from one of the local firefighters,” Langdon said.

As for democrats, they too seem to be enjoying eating at the GOP. Langdon said they have some very lively conversations and debates.
