The popular pop star was given a powerful anesthetic called propfol by his personal doctor Conrad Murray shortly before he died . Michael ‘s doctor failed to mention the information to the paramedic’s when they arrived and he didn’t perform CPR properly on the star or call the paramedics for help until Jackson had died. During the previous night before his death he had been given several other sedatives by the doctor to help the singer get to sleep to combat his insomnia.
The singer had went home early from his rehearsals several days before his death and don’t appear to look well and seemed a bit out of shape according to what his choreographer, Kenny Ortega told the court. Prosecutor David Walgren said in the courtroom in Los Angeles on Tuesday ,Doctor Murray ordered a security guard to collect medical paraphernalia and other items before calling the authorities.
Over the next two weeks , prosecutors will call about 30 people to disclose what they know on the case. During the hearing Dr. Murray’s lawyers are not expected to divulge a lot but it is believed they will argue that Jackson was so desperate to get some sleep he injected himself with the lethal dose The preliminary hearing is expected to last several days and the judge will decide whether prosecutors have enough evidence to try the cardiologist ,Dr, Murray. If convicted Dr. Murray faces up to four years in prison , Michael Jackson was 50 years old when he died and was rehearsing for a series of concerts in London .
