A reality TV producer suspected of killing his wife is due in a Los Angeles court today for the first hearing in what is expected to be a long fight over his extradition back to Mexico, somehow he was able to leave Mexico before authorities issued a warrant for his arrest in May.
After more than seven months of Monica Beresford-Redman’s body was found in the sewer of the upscale Mexican resort which they shared with their children.The sewer could be seen from the couple’s hotel room.
In a 11 page complaint that was unsealed after the arrest of Bruce Beresford-Redman on Tuesday describes series of events that could have led to Monica’s death, including fights between the couple.According to the complaint,guests and hotel workers described seeing and hearing the couple fighting.
The complaint also stated that Hotel key logs showed someone entering and leaving the room many times in the early morning after one fight that frighten guests in a neighboring room.
Bruce Beresford-Redmanwhose is also credited as a co-creator of “Pimp My Ride,”and former producer of “survivor ” has appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom several times to deal with custody issues related to his children and other issues related to Monica’s estate.His attorney said in a statement Tuesday evening that he believed that Bruce was innocent and should not be returned to Mexico.The complaint states she discovered her husband was having an affair before the trip and had been seeking a divorce, her sisters have said the couple traveled to Mexico in an attempt to reconcile.
