Despite the floundering economy, business is strong at Next Horizon Networking & Technology in Sanford, Fla. near Orlando. The computer services and web technology design company grew 29 percent in 2010 and expects to grow another 35 percent in 2011.
The Ellis family founded next Horizon in 1998. Harry Ellis, Jr. remains at the helm of the privately owned company.
“We have been in the computer/technology business in Central Florida for almost 30 years and have never experienced a loss,” said Ellis Jr. “While some years have been better than others, we have averaged 10 percent growth. Maintaining a 98 percent customer retention rate has created a lot of referrals; this is keeping us on a growth mode despite the economy.”
Currently, Next Horizon has 12 fulltime employees and is planning on adding at least four new staff members by year-end. “We are doing our part putting people back to work in this tough economy,” said Ellis Jr.
In the past 12 months, Next Horizon has added 18 key clients to the roster (and expects to add more by the end of the year). The services provided range from computer networking and repair, programming, website design and hosting, Internet marketing, e-commerce, computer security and much more.
