#1 Remember when having a out of town wedding your guests need to have a good time to and will want to stay in a quality location. After the wedding if they are staying a few extra days it would be nice if you helped plan some fun activities for them like maybe you all could go boating together or fishing or take a drive down the beach to some of the other beach towns on the coast for a day of fun. You may even see a few other Destin beach weddings going on as they are 7 days a week year round here on the coast.

#2 If you are going to have a reception after the wedding at a location that is not at the same location as the wedding then try and make it easy on your guests. Many of them may be flying in and to help save them some money it would be a good plan if the guests that have drove in could set up a car pool to drive the guests that did fly in drive them to the wedding and then to the reception so they do not have to rent a car. You could also if possible have the reception at the hotel that most the guests are staying at so they can walk up and freshen up before the reception and fly in guests would them be at home and not have to rely on anyone to drive them back to a hotel from the reception.

It can get very hot here on the beach well over 100 and you have no shade on the beach your guests will be very hot in a short amount of time and we have seen wedding guests pass out at weddings from the heat. So please be on time for your guests sake you do not want to have anyone pass out from the heat at your Destin Beach wedding.

#4 Brides If it is a windy day on the beach you should have your hair up or during the wedding your hair will be blowing in your face and that will not look very good in your photos. It can be quite windy on the beach so make a note to keep checking how strong the wind is and make the decision to have your hair up or down based on that the day of the wedding Destin beach weddings can be windy.

#5 Things not to bring to the beach and why for your wedding. Do not bring a wedding cake to the beach for the wedding unless you keep it in a cooler of some kind as it will start to melt very fast from the heat on the beach. Well think of it like this if you are going to a wedding on the beach and get to the wedding 20 to 30 min before the wedding starts as most guests do would you want a place to sit down? I would think so. Many Destin beach weddings we do that do not have the wedding chairs we see right away as the guests start to arrive they are all looking for a place to sit and are a but put out when they see they have no place to sit and have to stand for well over a hour on the beach.

#8 Should the guys have a formal black tux on for the wedding. This is up to you but it is the beach and can be very hot and the wort thing you want to be wearing on a hot day is a black tux standing on the beach in 100 degrees heat for over a hour. #9 Tell all your family and friends with cameras and video cameras to stay out of the way.
