This is an exciting time for horse racing enthusiasts as the next 30 days contains three races, not including the one that recently took place over the weekend, each awarding 1 million dollars to the horse that come in first place. Huge purse events entice large crowds and many of these people will be trying to predict winners against odds. However, Thoroughbred Analytics will have an advantage predicting race winners because of their proprietary ranking systems, accurate past performance reports, and detailed analysis.

The viewers? witnessed an amazing race. The outcome didn?t shock anyone but how it was won did. This year?s winning horse, Coil, snagged the 1 million dollar purse in exciting fashion coming from last to first. Coil gave his world famous trainer Bob Baffert his fifth Haskell Invitational win, by passing every other horse in the race in the final stretch.
Monmouth Park first held the Haskell in 1968 as a race for older horses, but in 1981 they changed the race for the younger faster horses and added a gold trophy and a 1 million dollar grand prize for the winning horse. The ?Haskell Invitational Stakes? received heavy attention both at the event and those watching on TV. This race was broadcast on ABC during primetime, leading many individuals who may not normally follow horse racing to be involved and make their own predictions.
