Fatal Fire in Russian Tu-154B plane

Before take off from Surgut the Russian airlines plane Tu-154B burst into flames and exploded in a fireball on Saturday . The plane was carrying 124 people and at least 43 people were injured on the flight that was bound for Moscow when a fire started in one of the engines .The cabin filled with thick black smoke after the engine fire causing a panic with people literally stepping on each others head’s in a plight to get out ,said singer Sergei Grigoriyev who sings with the band NA NA, I saw my life flash before me he told the Tass News Agency. The rest of the band members  were also among the passengers aboard and they were able to escape unharmed out an emergency exit over the wing reported fellow band member Viadimir Politoy. Lucky most of the passengers were able to be evacuated before the plane exploded. Russia will ground their Tu-154B planes until the cause of the fire has been determined the Russian transport safety regulator said. They have been able to recover the planes black box voice and data recorders to further investigate the cause of the engine fire and explosion. A series of recent crashes has causes concerns over the safety record of the Tu-154 planes who began service in the 1970’s with the Tu-154B being one of the versions of the planes that is used extensively on domestic routes in Russia and the former Soviet Union .
