In his New York apartment, Mark Madoff age 46 committed suicide by hanging himself. A family member reported the incident to the police. For the past two years constant pressure from false accusations and insinuation that he was connected with the Ponzi scheme worn down his resistance leading him to take his own life he was also being sued for failing to protect investor assets.. There were threats to his family causing his wife to ask the court if she could change her name to her surname Jerry Picower who is also being sued was found dead in is swimming pool in Florida and the case remains unresolved.. He and his brother Andrew were being investigated but had not been charged they both worked on a trading desk for the family firm but that part of the business was thought not to be directly involved with the Ponzi scheme and other family members have claimed they weren’t aware of any connection.
